“The most profound technologies are those that disappear. They weave themselves into the fabrics of everyday life until they are indistinguishable from it”.
Mark Weiser (1952 –1999), XEROX PARC
Pervasive computing enhances computer use by making many computers available throughout the physical environment but making them effectively invisible to the users. The mission of this lab is to investigate applications and algorithms for this type of systems. The main focuses of attention and research lines are:
- Fog Computing in Smart City
- Sensor-based Human Activity Recognition
- Social sensing systems
